CURRENT HIRING:
We are currently looking for 5 Industrial Electricians to join our team! The ideal candidates should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of procedures for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls.
JOB DUTIES:
• Establish routine maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, installations, and circuits according to specifications;
• Perform testing of electrical and electronic equipment and its components for current, voltage and resistance;
• Inspect and repair electrical gear, including switchboxes, cable, lighting fixtures, feeders, etc.;
• Conduct inspection and testing of equipment for any electrical malfunctions;
• Use test instruments to diagnose problems; work from blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in electrical motors, generators, alternators, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems;
• Perform equipment testing after installation or maintenance of electrical components;
• Compile and maintain all information and relevant documentation;
• Work within the guidelines of OHS at all times.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• At least 1 year of related experience as an Industrial Electrician;
• Ability to read and understand drawings and electrical code specifications;
• Trade certification as an industrial electrician in Ontario is a strong asset;
• Troubleshooting skills for electrical problems;
• Understanding of electrical circuitry;
• Reading, writing and communication in English;
• Must be able to lift and move heavy machinery;
• Ability to work at heights.
BENEFITS AND SALARY:
• Permanent, full-time positions
• $42.00 per hour for 30 hours per week
• Overtime may be required and will be paid at 1.5 of your regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week
