Gutmann North America is actively looking to hire one (1) – Chief Financial Officer for a permanent, full-time position to work at our company located in Oakville, Ontario, L6H 0X7.
Gutmann North America is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-performance aluminum building systems, including Curtain Wall, Window Wall, Doors, and Windows, that have been designed and tested specifically for the North American market.

The Chief Financial Officer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:
Job Duties :
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analyses and financial management reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making, including profitability analysis, variance analysis, to optimize business performance.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards, coordinating with auditors and legal teams to mitigate financial risks.
• Develop and implement the financial policies, systems, and control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and financing activities to support operational and strategic needs.
• Drive financial technology advancements, automation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the preparation, and filing of tax returns, and providing support during tax audits.
• Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of financial discipline and accountability.
Work Conditions:
• Office Environment: This position primarily operates in an office setting. The candidate will spend a significant amount of time working on a computer, conducting financial analysis.
• Meetings and Collaboration: frequently attend meetings with colleagues, executives, and stakeholders to discuss financial matters, provide updates, and make decisions. Collaboration with other departments such as operations, marketing, Supply Chain, and sales may also be required.
• Deadlines and Pressure: often work under tight deadlines, especially during financial reporting periods, budget cycles, and strategic planning initiatives. They may experience pressure to meet deadlines, analyze complex financial data, and make important decisions within a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Frequently communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, board members, employees, clients, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for conveying financial information and presenting analysis.
• Travel: may need to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, or business-related activities.
Skills, Experience and Education Required:
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce, or a related field is required.
• A master's degree in business administration (concentration in finance), or another master's level management program is considered an asset.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Finance, accounting, budgeting, financial planning and analysis or other financial activities are required.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of accounting software, like QBO and SAP ERP software to support various financial and operational functions within the organization and while coordination with the principal company.
• Having prior work experience with a multinational corporation would be considered an asset.
• Having prior work experience in both the Middle East and North America is highly advantageous, particularly as the candidate will engage with suppliers from the Middle East and cater to customers in North America.
• Proficient user of MS Office and business analytics tools; Microsoft Excel, Excel VBA, Power point, Power Query and Power BI etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Arabic is considered an asset.
Wage & Hours: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour (To be Negotiated). 40 hours per week. Overtime pay after 44 hours per week.
