Job Location: Based at 231 Rickards Road, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 0E1, work in various locations in the Fort McMurray, Alberta area
Wage: $34.00 to $36.00 hour

Employment terms and conditions: Permanent, full-time employment, 40 to 80 hours/week; 12 hour shifts; Overtime, Weekends, Evenings, Mornings, Nights, Shift work (14 days on 14 days off or 14 days on 7 days off (depending on work))

Job requirements:
Language: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Security and Safety: Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol test; Basic security clearance; Driver's validity licence check; Clean five-year driving record check (abstract); Knowledge of all applicable DOT rules and regulations; and all job-related Local, Provincial and Federal requirements.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Large workload, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Sitting, Must be medically fit for duty
Work Site Environment: Northern living conditions, Outdoor work in extremely cold temperatures
Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Judgement, Team player, Excellent oral communication
Credentials: Class1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and TDG.
Certifications: Construction Safety Training System (CSTS); Oil Sands Safety Association Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA BSO); H2S Alive, First Aid, and WHMIS certifications. Or ability to get certifications prior to commencement of employment.

Duties:
• Driving, hauling, and dispensing gasoline, fuel oil, lubricating oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers
• Load and unload goods
• Transport 48,000.00 Litres of fuel in a B-train hauler
• Adhere to all Safety Procedures and Practices pertaining to hauling and dispensing fuel
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
• Conduct pre and post-operational checks on equipment
• Completes daily Job Hazard Assessments, Fuel Logs and Truck Logs as required
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded
• Plan travel schedules and routes
• Drive lighter, special purpose trucks if required
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
• Adheres to Company policies and work requirements
• Transport and handle dangerous goods
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
