Sakura Sushi is seeking proactive and team-oriented Restaurant Manager to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

Position Title: Restaurant Manager
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 01
Wage: $36.60 ~ $37.00 per hour (Depending on working experience)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation
Responsibility:
· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant
· Determine the type of services to be offered (e.g., dine-in, take-out, delivery) and establish and implement operational procedures
· Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting revenues and expenses, and monitor financial performance
· Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and cost efficiency, particularly for high-cost seafood ingredients
· Monitor and control labour costs, seafood and ingredient cost percentages, and overall operational expenses
· Recruit, hire, and oversee training and development of staff, including front-of-house and kitchen staff
· Set staff work schedules, supervise staff performance, and conduct performance evaluations
· Control inventory of perishable items such as fresh fish and seafood, monitor revenues, and adjust procedures and pricing as required
· Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of seafood in compliance with food safety standards
· Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, especially regarding food quality and service experience
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including raw fish handling standards, and implement audit systems
· Negotiate arrangements with suppliers to source high-quality fresh fish and specialty Japanese ingredients at competitive prices
Qualification:
· Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is usually required.
· At least 3 years of work experience in the food service sector, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience, is required.
· Responsible beverage service certification is usually required for managers of establishments serving alcoholic beverages.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a great team player.
· Working knowledge of English.
