The Opportunity
Hanahreum Mart Richmond is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Sales Supervisor to oversee daily retail sales operations and supervise frontline sales staff. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating staff activities, maintaining high customer service standards, and ensuring efficient store operations. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can support operational excellence and contribute to the continued success of our Richmond location.

– Position: Retail Sales Supervisor
– Wage: $37.00 per hour (Overtime rate applies after 40 hours per week in accordance with BC – Employment Standards)
– Working Hours: 30–40 hours per week
– Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sales associates and cashiers across various departments.
– Assign staff to duties, prepare work schedules, and ensure sufficient coverage during business hours.
– Oversee customer service operations, including payments, returns, and issue resolution.
– Monitor inventory and coordinate merchandise replenishment to maintain stock levels.
– Ensure store displays, cleanliness, and merchandising standards meet company policies.
– Recruit, train, and evaluate staff to promote efficient operations and quality service.
– Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee performance.
– Enforce compliance with occupational health, food safety, and operational standards.
– Perform key-holding and managerial duties such as store opening, closing, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications:
– Completion of secondary school is usually required.
– Previous retail sales experience as a retail salesperson, sales clerk, cashier, telemarketer, door-to-door salesperson, or rental agent is usually required.
– Languages: English
