Immigration Management ‘Si-Won’ is a consulting agency specializing in immigration, education consulting, and recruitment services. With our expanding needs, we are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced (Senior level) Staffing Officer to join our management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our daily staffing and recruitment activities.
Position: Senior Staffing Officer
Wage: $38.00-40.00 per hour (depends on experience)
Working hours: 30 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay + Five Paid Sick days per year
Work Location: #300-1111 Melville Street, Vancouver, B.C. Canada, V6E 3V6
Duties:
· Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies tailored to specific roles and industries.
· Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, assessments, and final hiring decisions.
· Source qualified candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
· Review applications and conduct initial screenings, coordinating interviews and evaluations to ensure the best candidate fit.
· Act as a liaison between clients and candidates, providing guidance, updates, and support throughout the hiring process.
· Supervise and mentor junior recruitment staff, offering training, task delegation, and ongoing performance feedback.
· Verify candidate qualifications, conduct background and criminal checks (where applicable).
· Advise applicants on job requirements, employment standards, and terms and conditions of employment.
· Prepare and finalize job offers, employment contracts, and related documentation, including negotiating salaries and start dates.
· Monitor recruitment metrics and ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and ethical hiring practices.
Qualification:
· College diploma in area related to personnel management (e.g. business administration, industrial relations, commerce) OR completion of development program in personnel administration is required;
· At least 3 years of experience in administrative position related to personnel administration, human resources, recruitment or other similar roles is required;
· Certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset, but not mandatory;
· Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills;
· Working knowledge of English is required.
