Northern Inn is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Staffing Officer to join our recruitment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our daily staffing and recruitment activities.

Position Title: Senior Staffing Officer
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Wage: $36.60 – $37.60 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation
Responsibility:
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies tailored to specific roles and industries.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, assessments, and final hiring decisions.
• Source qualified candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
• Review applications and conduct initial screenings, coordinating interviews and evaluations to ensure the best candidate fit.
• Act as a liaison between clients and candidates, providing guidance, updates, and support throughout the hiring process.
• Supervise and mentor junior recruitment staff, offering training, task delegation, and ongoing performance feedback.
• Verify candidate qualifications, conduct background and criminal checks (where applicable).
• Advise applicants on job requirements, employment standards, and terms and conditions of employment.
• Prepare and finalize job offers, employment contracts, and related documentation, including negotiating salaries and start dates.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and ethical hiring practices.
Qualification:
• A college diploma in a field related to personnel management such as business administration, industrial relations, commerce or completion of a professional development program in personnel administration is usually required.
• Certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) may be required.
• Several years’ experience in a clerical or administrative position related to personnel administration may be required.
• Great team player and ability to multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Working knowledge of English is required.
