Along with offering a various program that is suitable for children from 6 months to 12 years old, each day, our staff members spend time nurturing our children’s strengths and encouraging them to reach their full potential.

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Supervisor to oversee and ensure the centre’s administrative operations run efficiently. This role is pivotal in leading our administrative team, maintaining accurate records, and providing professional communication with families and regulatory authorities, particularly Fraser Health.

Position: Operations Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Position available: 1

Hourly Wage: $38.50 – $39.50 (Depends on qualification and work experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Working Location: 201-19141 Ford Road, Pitt Meadows, B.C. Canada, V3Y 2P8

Benefits: 4% vacation pay + 5 paid sick days per year + Group Insurance Benefits (Extended Health Care)

Duties:

·         Coordinate, assign, and review the work of administrative staff engaged in parent communication, child records management, enrollment documentation, billing support including government childcare subsidies, and general clerical tasks;

·         Support and coordinate administrative communications with various government agencies (such as Fraser Health Authority) and external organizations by ensuring all licensing, safety, and operational records are correctly maintained;

·         Establish work schedules and office procedures to ensure adequate front desk coverage and coordinate administrative activities with other work units, including educators and management;

·         Resolve work-related problems, such as scheduling conflicts or administrative errors, and prepare and submit progress reports on enrollment, attendance, and overall office operations;

·         Train administrative staff in their job duties, daycare policies, safety procedures, child confidentiality requirements, and the proper use of office software;

·         Requisition and manage the inventory of office supplies and materials required for daily daycare operations;

·         Ensure the smooth operation of office equipment and digital systems, and arrange for necessary maintenance and repair work;

·         Perform the same administrative duties as supervised staff when required to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality service.

 

Qualification:

·         Completion of a college diploma or post-secondary courses in Business Administration, Office Management or a related field is required; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred;

·         A minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative support or office operations is required, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role is required;

·         Experienced in a licensed childcare setting or a similar regulated environment is highly preferred, but not required;

·         Strong leadership and team coordination skills are required.

·         Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of English ability are required.
