Pharmacy Assistant

Shoppers Drug Mart is one of Canada leading retail pharmacy chains, dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare and customer service in communities across the country. We are currently seeking one Pharmacy Assistant to join our team to support our pharmacists and help ensure the accuracy of prescription processing.

Work Location: 10108 Jubilee Road West, Summerland, BC V0H 1Z0

Position: Pharmacy Assistant

Wage: $24.00 per hour

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (including weekends and evenings)

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Benefits: 4% vacation pay or 10 days paid vacation per year

Responsibility:

·        Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and completeness before processing

·        Input patient information and prescription details into the pharmacy database

·        Support pharmacists and staffs with the preparation, packaging, and labelling of medications

·        Monitor and maintain inventory levels of drugs and other pharmaceutical products

·        Handle medical billing transactions and related administrative tasks when required

·        Assist with pricing, stocking, and organizing items on pharmacy shelves

Job Requirements:

·        Completion of Pharmacy Assistant College program (6-12 months) OR completion of secondary school

·        At least 1 year of work experience as a Pharmacy assistant is required

·        Ability to work quickly, multitask and work well under pressure in a team environment

·        Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination

·        Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekends

·        Working knowledge of English
