Position Summary:
As a Financial Analyst, you will support senior management by analyzing the financial performance of the company’s operating businesses, preparing financial forecasts and reports, evaluating business opportunities, and providing recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This role will focus on financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow planning, operational performance evaluation, and supporting both existing business operations and future growth initiatives.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $44.50 – $45.50 per hour (Depending on working experience)
Position Available: 1
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible
Benefits: 4 % vacation pay or 10 business days of paid vacation

Job Duties:
· Analyze the financial performance of existing operating businesses, including revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and key performance indicators, and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and financial results.
· Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow projections, budgets, and financial reports to support business planning, capital management, and management decision-making.
· Evaluate business operations and identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities by analyzing operational data, financial statements, and performance results.
· Develop financial models and conduct analysis for business initiatives, including expansion projects, new ventures, strategic partnerships, and other growth opportunities.
· Monitor and support the financial management of subsidiaries and operating businesses by reviewing budgets, financial performance, and operational outcomes, and recommending improvement strategies.
· Assist management with financial analysis related to business agreements, financing activities, and strategic initiatives, including preparation of reports and recommendations for internal decision-making.
· Research market conditions, industry trends, and economic factors to support strategic planning and identify opportunities for business development and long-term growth.
Qualifications:
· A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, commerce, business administration, economics, or a related field is required.
· A minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or a related field is required.
· A master’s degree in finance, business administration (MBA), or a related field is an asset but not required.
· Professional designations such as CFA or CPA is an asset but not required.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to support business decisions are required.
· Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
