Northern Motor Inn is a locally established accommodation provider located in Thornhill, British Columbia, serving tourists, business travellers, workers, and visitors to the Terrace and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the hotel’s accommodation and services through digital marketing, advertising, social media, and local promotional initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will help manage the hotel’s online presence, develop marketing materials and campaigns, monitor market trends and guest feedback, and work closely with management to increase brand awareness, attract new guests, and support occupancy and business growth.

Position Title: Marketing Coordinator

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1

Wage: $38.50 per hour

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

 

Responsibility:

·         Develop marketing plans and promotional strategies, including content for direct and digital marketing, advertising campaigns, and seasonal promotions to attract new and returning guests.

·         Research hospitality trends, local tourism, guest preferences, and competitors to identify marketing opportunities and effective ways to promote the hotel.

·         Create, update, and coordinate marketing materials for the hotel, including website content, printed brochures, promotional materials, advertisements, and other marketing communications.

·         Plan and coordinate special events, seasonal promotions, and promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness of Northern Motor Inn and attract guests during both regular and slower business periods.

·         Prepare marketing reports, presentations, newsletters, promotional content, and other materials to support the hotel’s marketing and communication activities.

·         Monitor ongoing marketing campaigns and promotional activities and evaluate their effectiveness by reviewing new guest rates, repeat guest rates, guest reviews, inquiries, surveys, and other relevant results.

·         Act as a point of contact for general marketing and promotional inquiries, respond to written and verbal inquiries from guests and the public, and provide information about the hotel’s services and promotions.

·         Manage and update the hotel’s digital platforms by creating promotional content, monitoring guest engagement and online reviews, and supporting digital campaigns to improve the hotel’s online visibility.

Qualification:

·         Completion of a college diploma or university degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or a related field is required;

·         At least 2-3 years of previous experience in marketing, digital marketing, social media management, e-commerce, or related fields is required;

·         Marketing experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is an asset, but not mandatory;

·         Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal;

·         Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
