We are currently seeking an experienced Cabinetmakers foreman/woman to lead our shop and site installation operations. In this role, you will oversee our team of cabinetmakers and finish carpenters, ensuring precision execution, workplace safety, and high-quality results across all residential and commercial projects.

Job Position: Cabinetmakers Foreman/woman

Term of Employment: Full-time, Permanent   

Hourly Wage: $39.00 – $40.00 per hour (depending on qualification and work experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week (available early morning, evening or weekends)

Work Location:

·         950 Seaborne Ave #2145, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 0R9 (Our Business Location);

·         Will be working at various residential / commercial locations (Client’s locations) within Metro Vancouver area, British Columbia

Job Duties:

·         Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of cabinetmakers, carpenters, and apprentices on residential and commercial construction sites.

·         Supervise and coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, interior wooden fixtures, and related woodwork.

·         Coordinate work activities with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure projects are completed according to schedules and specifications.

·         Establish work methods, assign tasks, and monitor workflow to maintain productivity and quality standards on construction sites.

·         Inspect completed cabinetry, finish carpentry, and interior woodwork installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

·         Requisition materials, hardware, tools, and equipment required for project completion and efficient site operations.

·         Resolve technical issues, provide guidance to crew members, and ensure WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety procedures are followed.

·         Train and mentor cabinetmakers, carpenters, apprentices, and other workers in cabinetmaking practices, installation procedures, and safe work method

Qualification: 

·         Completion of secondary school is required;

·         At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cabinetmaking or carpentry, including experience leading or coordinating a team, is required;

·         Journeyman Cabinetmaker or Carpenter Certification (Red Seal or Provincial Trade Certification) is preferred, but not required;

·         English proficiency to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients is required;

·         Strong knowledge of carpentry, cabinetmaking, woodworking techniques, construction methods, and quality standards.
