Gibsons Pho Le Ltd. is a Vietnamese restaurant located in Gibsons, British Columbia, specializing in traditional Vietnamese cuisine including pho bowls, rice dishes, spring rolls, and other authentic menu items. We are currently seeking a full-time Specialist Chef with professional kitchen experience who specializes in menu development and preparing a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes for restaurant service, partner companies, hotels, and other food supply operations.

Work location: 900 Gibsons Way #8, Gibsons, BC V0N 1V8

Position Title: Specialist Chef

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Positions Available: 1

Wage: $37.00 – $38.00 per hour (Depending on working experience)

Work Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week

Benefit: 4% vacation pay or 10 days paid vacation per year, and Tips

Responsibility:

·         Develop and prepare authentic Vietnamese recipes, sauces, and specialty menu items for restaurant service and partner business supply;

·         Lead menu development activities including seasonal dishes, meal kit preparation, and standardized food production processes;

·         Coordinate kitchen preparation schedules to support both restaurant operations and external food supply demands;

·         Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance on food preparation methods, quality standards, and presentation;

·         Monitor consistency, portion control, and food quality across all prepared products;

·         Assist with ingredient planning, inventory coordination, and supply management for kitchen operations;

·         Maintain food safety, sanitation, and operational standards within the kitchen environment;

·         Support training and development of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation procedures.

Qualification:

·         Completion of secondary school is required;

·         Completion of a culinary program or related training is required;

·         Minimum 3 years of experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen environment is required;

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and collaborate with team members;
