Located in Vancouver BC, Green Leaf Sushi is an established Japanese restaurant offering a diverse sushi and Japanese menu in a welcoming dining environment. We focus on providing authentic, high-quality dishes prepared by experienced chefs and kitchen staff, while maintaining consistent service and food safety standards.

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Restaurant Manager to join our team and help oversee daily operations, staff management, and service quality. This role plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the overall performance of the restaurant.

 

Work Location: 3416 West Broadway, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6R 3H6

Position: Restaurant Manager

Wage: $36.60– 37.60 per hour (Depending on the work experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible

Position Available: 1

Benefits: 4% vacation pay or 10 days paid vacation per year

Responsibility:

·       Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of Green Leaf Sushi, and determine the type of services to be offered (e.g., dine-in, take-out, delivery) and establish and implement operational procedures

·       Develop and manage budgets, including forecasting revenues and expenses, and monitor financial performance

·       Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and cost efficiency, particularly for high-cost seafood ingredients

·       Monitor and control labour costs, seafood and ingredient cost percentages, and overall operational expenses

·       Recruit, hire, oversee training and development of staff, set staff work schedules, supervise staff performance, and conduct performance evaluations

·       Control inventory of perishable items such as fresh fish and seafood, monitor revenues, and adjust procedures and pricing as required

·       Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of seafood in compliance with food safety standards

·       Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, especially regarding food quality and service experience

·       Negotiate arrangements with suppliers to source high-quality fresh fish and specialty Japanese ingredients at competitive prices

 

Job Requirements:

·        Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality OR food and beverage service management is usually required;

·        At least 2 years of work experience in the food service sector, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience, are required;

·        Strong organisational, customer service and problem-solving skills;

·        Excellent communication skills both written and oral in English.
