We are currently seeking a motivated and responsible Building Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance efforts, support daily operations, and join our friendly team.

Position Title: Building Maintenance Supervisor
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Wage: $37.50 – $38.50 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation

Responsibility:
• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations for hotel facilities, guest rooms, and exterior areas;
• Schedule and oversee maintenance staff, construction workers, and supporting helpers and labourers engaged in building maintenance activities, including brickwork, roofing, concrete finishing, plastering, drywall installation, glazing, insulation, painting, and the installation and servicing of prefabricated products, as well as technicians responsible for building and equipment repairs, to ensure timely completion of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks;
• Develop and implement work plans to ensure project timelines are met while coordinating work with external contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required;
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and building regulations, and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; order materials and supplies as needed;
• Train staff on proper maintenance procedures, safety practices, use of equipment and company policies;
• Make recommendations on hiring and promotion of relevant staff;
• Prepare maintenance progress reports and keep records of inspectors, repairs, and completed work;
• Resolve worksite issues, recommend improvements to building systems and maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency, quality and guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is usually required;
• Several years of experience in the trade or in the work area supervised are usually required;
• Great interpersonal and time management skills;
• Able to work independently and with a team;
• Detail-oriented, problem-solving skills.
