Bear Country Inn Ltd., also known as Bear Country Inn, is located in the downtown area of Terrace. We strive to provide a luxurious experience at an affordable price, catering to both business and leisure travelers. Our hotel boasts 57 rooms with convenient outdoor entrances, ensuring easy access for our guests. Additionally, we offer free parking services, on-site restaurants, and a meeting room. Currently, we are looking for a qualified Motel Managing Supervisor to coordinate and review daily work of staff, establish staff work schedules and operating procedures, and ensure smooth daily motel operations.

Job Title: Motel Managing Supervisor
Wage: $36.60 to $37.60 (Depending on Working Experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Date of Employment: As Soon As Possible
Position Available: 1
Benefit: 4% vacation pay or 10 business days of paid vacation
Working Location: 4702 Lakelse Ave, Terrace, B.C., V8G 1R6

Job Duties:
• Establish staff work schedules, standard operating procedures, and coordinate activities with housekeeping, maintenance, and other operational units as required.
• Coordinate, allocate, and review the daily work of motel front desk staff, reservation clerks, and other accommodation service staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of staff, including instruction on job duties, workplace safety procedures, and company policies.
• Perform front desk and guest service duties as needed to support operations during busy periods or staff shortages.
• Identify and resolve work-related and operational issues, and prepare regular reports on operations, staffing, and service performance.
• Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems, front desk software, equipment, and facilities, and coordinate maintenance or repair services when required.
• Monitor inventory levels and ordering supplies, materials, and operational resources as needed to support daily motel operations.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of college courses related to the area supervised may be required.
• At least 1 year of experience in the occupation supervised is usually required.
• Attention to detail and great organization skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Working knowledge of English.
